WEEE disposal services
All offices and businesses require WEEE disposal (in London) at some point in time
This is because over time most (if not all) businesses and offices produce waste electricals for recycling. At We Clear Junk, we carry out WEEE collections daily.
And to clarify this odd acronym W.E.E.E. stands for: Waste Electrical End of life Equipment – it’s bizarre, but thats the term that is used!
Examples
You may have one old photocopier for disposal, or truck loads of mixed waste including some waste electricals for recycling.
Our simple recycling service covers all WEEE including old IT equipment.
As always, we do ALL the loading and clearing, leaving your employees to get on with their jobs!
What we provide
Compliance is so important to us, that we make sure our clients receive ALL necessary paperwork, including:
- WTN (Waste Transfer Notes)
- Hazardous waste consignment notes (eg: for fridges and monitors).
- A full audit trail can be provided should you need it for environmental audits. We make sure your paperwork complies with environmental agency regulations. Any company that does not receive a waste consignment note or a hazardous note, can be fined large penalties.
We are fully insured. And all our risk assessments and health & safety procedures are compliant with the relevant industry standards. In addition, we have ISO 14001, ISO 9001, CHAS and Constructionline accreditations.
Examples
Office renovations and IT upgrades often produce WEEE. Because you may have (as in old IT equipment). Because our service is flexible, we provide a simple & compliant solution. We clear ANY combination of unwanted waste: old furniture, builders’ waste, broken (or working) electrical appliances, garden waste, office equipment, filing cabinets and much more.
New legislation
The EU has new legislation that will require manufacturers to provide parts for appliances for a minimum of 10 years. We hope this will improve repair and lifespan of electrical appliances, and reduce the “throw away” and “buy new” culture that seems so prevalent. Waste regulations get updated regularly, so it is important to get the correct paperwork when disposing of WEEE.
